Russian govt may grant SMP Bank access to state procurements
MOSCOW, Aug 20 (PRIME) -- The Russian government may grant SMP Bank of brothers Arkady and Boris Rotenberg, which was hit by the Western sanctions, access to special accounts of participants of state procurements, as seen by PRIME on Monday in the materials of the government’s website for disclosure of legal information.
According to the document, companies that partake in state procurements of goods and services may place their money on special accounts with specific banks that were hit by international sanctions if the government approves the banks. A decision to approve the bank is one of the measures of state support, the document read.
In March 2017, the government included SMP Bank in the list of banks that are allowed to hold money of the federal budget on its deposits.
